Microsoft has a known and long history of delivering GOOD and BAD updates. The equivalent is the situation with the KB5000802 update and a bug in the update is causing the BSOD (blue screen of death) issue.
The issue emerges (subsequent to applying the KB5000802 update) when a client attempts to print a record yet faces a BSOD with the accompanying kind of message:
The BSOD issue isn't restricted to a specific maker of printers, even a few clients detailed that the BSOD happened even while utilizing the in-built printer (like Microsoft Print to PDF).Fix 1:
Step 1: Install the Out of Band Update, GoTo Microsoft Update Catalog website, and search for the update as per your Windows OS Version.(e.g., KB5001567, KB5001566 and KB5001565).
Step 2: Download the update, as per your Windows
Step 3: Install the downloaded update as an administrator and follow the prompts to complete the process.
Step 4: Restart the PC and check whether the issue is resolved.
Fix 2:
Step 1: Re-install the Printer Driver may fix the problem. Disconnect your PC from the printer and afterward download the most recent driver for your printer from the OEM site.
Step 2: Right-click on the Start menu (or Windows) button and in the Quick Access menu, select Device Manager.
Step 3: Expand the Printer(+) option and right-click on your printer.
Step 4: Select the uninstall Device and in the subsequent window, checkmark the choice of Delete the Driver Software of this Device.
Step 5: Select the uninstall button and wait for the uninstallation of the printer to complete.
Step 6: Reboot the PC.
Step 7: If the issue still persists, then uninstall the printer driver, reboot your PC and install a PCL 6 driver of your printer to check, if the BSOD issue is resolved.
Fix 3
Step 1: Uninstall the KB5000802 update.
Step 2: Select the Windows key and settings
Step 3: Select the Update and Security, look for View Update History in the right pane.
