Kernel Data InPage Error

Kernel Data InPage Error is common error in the Windows 10 Platform. Users will see a Blue Screen of Death(BSOD) Error code also called as a STOP Code. 

This Kernel Data InPage Error appears when a system does not boot from a major hardware or software issue. In turn, all functionality in the system stops and then the users sees a BSOD  with the error code: KERNEL Data Inpage Error(MsFs.SYS).

• 0x0000007A
• 0xC000009A
• 0xC000009C
• 0xC000009D
• 0xC000016A
• 0xC0000185

What causes Kernel Data InPage Error?

Issue is related to Memory, Hard Disk corruption, RAM issues, other issues could be:

• Hard Drive Errors
• Faulty Wires and Connections
• Invalid BIOS Settings
• Issue due to Chipset drivers
• Virus infection
• Malware infection
• System File Corruption
• Paging File Corruption
• Corrupt Device Drivers
• Data Loss
• Failing to read Critical Data

How to fix the Kernel Data InPage Error?

Step 1: If you are using a Desktop, check the hard drive, RAM connections and system internal for loose connections.

Step 2: Run CHKDSK Repair, where this will help to check a disk like minor file system errors, corruption, and reallocate bad sectors

Use the following command in the command prompt to check the disk and to display the status report:

chkdsk /r /f C: and press 'Enter'

/r - Locates the bad sectors and recovers readable information

/f - Fixes errors on the disk

C: - specify the volume of drive letter:

Incase of partition is not visible, open the Disk Management tool and run the chkdsk scan.

Incase nothing works, try using a Data Recovery Software which can help recover data from severely corrupt and damaged partition.

Note: If using a laptop, try removing the battery... (it never worked for me by removing the battery, but most of the forums advice to remove the battery and see...).
